To get you excited about these scenic paths, we’ve come up with 5 of the best hiking trails in Palm Springs. Mount San Jacinto Peak To get to this nearly 17 kilometer trail, hikers ride up the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway to take in priceless views before even beginning their hike.  With panoramic scenes overlooking Palm Springs, this hike is a somewhat difficult but incredibly rewarding jaunt.  Tahquitz Canyon Loop Trail This easier trail is a classic Palm Springs hike that leads people through the beauty of the Tahquitz Canyon. Over three kilometers long, the Tahquitz Canyon Loop Trail is great for hikers of all skill levels, and ends with a beautiful sight of a waterfall before heading back to Palm Springs. Skyline Trail: Cactus to Clouds Another difficult yet rewarding hike, the Skyline Trail begins on the outskirts of Palm Springs and heads directly up from there into the San Jacinto Mountains.  At nearly 10 miles, the Skyline Trail has the greatest elevation change of any trail in the United States, so hikers can watch their view get better and better with every step. Andreas Canyon Trail Andreas Canyon hiking trail is another simple hiking path that’s great for hikers of any skill level, winding up the side of the canyon for nearly a mile.  With all sorts of native California flora to enjoy as well as a stream that winds by the trail at one point, there’s lots of gorgeous sights to take in on this hike. South Lykken Trail Located just south of Downtown Palm Springs, South Lykken Trail is often regarded as one of the best trails in Palm Springs for its ease of access, incredible viewpoints and relatively low skill level needed.  Flora and fauna are common sights on this trail, with local wildflowers and palm trees along the path and bighorn sheep that roam nearby.   With all these great options for trails so near to Palm Springs real estate, it’s no wonder so many people are looking to call this oasis city home.  Looking to join them?
